Eileen Kosasih is a pianist, violinist, teacher, and visual artist based in Calgary. She has a B.A.Music (violin, Ambrose University) and M.Music (orchestral conducting, Azusa Pacific University) and piano diploma (American Musician's Guild). Current positions include principle 2nd violin with the Symphony of the Kootenays, concertmaster of St. David's United Orchestra, resident accompanist of UUphonia (choir), violist for Calgary Jazz Orchestra, and clinician for CPO's PhilKids (violin) and ClinicLine (violin and viola). She has also been faculty at the Banff Centre for Performing Arts as a clinician for the national Youth Orchestra Symposium. Eileen was resident accompanist for Calgary Girl's Choir, Suzuki Talent Education Society, and Calgary Multicultural Choir. Conducting positions have included Calgary Arts Orchestra (of which she was the founder) for two seasons, Beverly Hills Community Orchestra, Azusa Pacific University Orchestra, and Front Row Centre Theatre. She hosted and programmed "Casual Classical" at the King Eddy and occasionally hosts and programs Classical Revolution Calgary. Eileen is also an illustrator and Expressionist painter.
