Daniel Nava is a bass player, composer, producer, arranger and songwriter from Venezuela. With more than 15 years in the music industry in Latin America, Europe and USA. Currently based in Calgary, where he has stablished his studio and now works with several national and international artists.
He started his music studies in Maracaibo, Venezuela where at the young age pf 10 years old he started classical upright bass lessons with Elvis Martinez and Maciej Slokowsky in the Conservatoire of Maracaibo. He is a founder of the Symphony Orchestra of the Zulian Young Adults where he participates in several international tours, working under the baton of acclaimed directors like Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim and many others.
At the age of 18 years old he moves to the city of Lausanne, Switzerland, where he started his bachelor in Orchestral Performance under the tutelage of the bass solo of the Orchestre De Chambre De Lausanne Mr. Marc-Antoine Bonanomi. Where he also had studies in Piano, Guitar, Singing, Composition, arrangement and Audio Engineering and recording.
After finishing his bachelors degree he decides to relocate in the city of Miami, Florida. Where he soon started teaching upright bass and working with international pop and latin artists like Franco De Vita, Chino Y Nacho, Fernando Osorio, Caibo, Tony Succar, Marc Anthony and many others.
Currently he resides in the city of Calgary, where he has recorded with several jazz musicians, performing in every edition of the YYC Jazz Festival and recording with several R&B, Pop and Latin artists in Canada.
