Mike Watson

Building on the influences of 1920s and 1930s Delta blues, played through amps and recording technologies of the 1940s and 50s, with the musical sensibilities of a child of the grunge-era 90s, Mike Watson channels the passion and emotion exploding out of old recordings from masters like Big Bill Broonzy, Son House and Blind Willie McTell, buoyed by his love of vintage tubes and the amplifiers that house them.

Playing professionally for over 10 years, in his live performances, the blues-steeped slide guitar burns matched with passionate howls and emotive lyrics that whip his audiences into a spirit of sanctifying. If you want to learn how to play blues slide guitar, lap steel, dobro and National resonator guitars specifically, come see Mike.
