Greenwich Village in New York in the early 60’s and the burgeoning music scene there helped spawn the music that provided much of the sound tracks that brought the Folk Revival, the Civil Rights Movement, The Anti War Movement to a wider and eagerly receptive audience.

We will cover both well known and lesser known artists and listen to some of their signature music.

Happy Listening

Craig Pittman, a Long time Calgary resident since age 8, also lived briefly in Vancouver and is happily married to a very special lady. Craig is semi retired and primarily worked in the Oil industry as a Landman. He is a  dedicated consumer of live and recorded music of most genres and has been playing  acoustic guitar in a more organized fashion since 2012 (unorganized before that) and loves sharing music with others and sometimes introducing them to unfamiliar artists or music.
