Solid grooves, melodically adventurous and a tight, jazz sound fuel Redline Trio’s frequent performances around western Canada. Their self titled album was nominated for a YYCMusic Award (Best Jazz Album) and features original compositions by members of the group.

Redline Trio performs weekly at Betty Lous Library a local speakeasy and has been featured at the NVRLND Creative Music Fest, JazzYYC Winter Jazzfest and The Brightside Arts Festival. They have presented feature concerts in Vancouver, Victoria, cSPACE and the King Eddy in Calgary, as well as artsPlace in Canmore. Redline Trio have been keeping company with such musicians as Brad Turner, Steve Hudson, Brandi Disterheft, Mike Rud, Allison Lynch, Quincy Troupe and Calgary’s Poet Laureate Sheri-D Wilson.

Steve Hudson is a NYC based pianist and songwriter, for the stage and film, who loves immersing himself in different musical worlds. Hudson’s music embraces by the sounds of rock, jazz, blues, pop, and roots music, with a free spirited love of improvisation.Hudson also works with his own trio and as a sideman for a variety of projects, and has performed at the Blue Note, Birdland, Dizzy’s at Lincoln Center, Monterey Jazz Festival, and several other clubs, theaters and festivals in the US and overseas. Some of the musicians he has shared the stage/recorded with include Steven Bernstein, Jerome Harris, Marcus McClaurine, James Zollar, Marcus Rojas, Oscar Noriega, Peter Eldridge, Stefano Senni, and Claire Daly.Brad Turner is a trumpeter, pianist, drummer and composer who is one of Canada’s most in-demand and highly esteemed jazz musicians. He has performed and/or recorded with such artists as Joe Lovano, Bill Frisell, Kenny Wheeler, John Scofield, Michael Moore, Reneé Rosnes, Harold Mabern, Jimmy Greene, Ingrid Jensen, Peggy Lee, Dave Douglas, Mike Murley, Seamus Blake, Kenny Werner, Mino Cinelu, Roy McCurdy, Russell Malone and Ernie Watts. Turner’s groups have opened for McCoy Tyner, Roy Haynes, Wayne Shorter, Clark Terry, Diana Krall, Ahmad Jamal and Tony Bennett.
