Mark DeJong and Carsten Rubelin - April 1, 2022\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/692985521?h=d1a3754327&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"930\" height=\"523\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carsten<\/strong>&nbsp;is one of Canada\u2019s most active and dynamic trombonists.&nbsp;He has studied and performed in Toronto, Berlin, and San Francisco and completed his graduate studies&nbsp;at the City University of New York.&nbsp;Carsten enjoys a busy career as a performer and educator, and collaborates in a&nbsp;wide array of musical groups across western Canada.&nbsp; His debut album VOLK\/\/PEOPLE was released in 2019 on Inner Ocean Records and has been receiving positive reviews and airplay&nbsp;both internationally and here at home.<br>Carsten has performed and recorded&nbsp;with Sean Jones, Ingrid Jensen, Seamus Blake, Brian Lynch, Eric Bloom, Brad Turner, David Braid, Nick Fraser, Michael Kaeshammer, Jens Lindemann, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, Foothills Brass, Jann Arden and Weird Al.&nbsp;<strong>Mark DeJong<\/strong>&nbsp;is active as a performer throughout North America, He completed a Masters in Jazz Studies at Rugers University. Recently he was a featured soloist with the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra, he has toured with Redline Trio (Canada) and the Shuffle Demons (Panama and Cuba). He has appeared as a feature artist at the World Expo in Shanghai China, as well as the famous Blue Note in New York.
