As a teaching artist, she is dedicated to education through performance and instruction, leading by example and questioning audience expectations by asking, what exactly is percussion?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notable performances include solo engagements with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, and Calgary Wind Symphony, as well as Calgary\u2019s contemporary music and sonic arts festival,&nbsp;<em>Forms of Sound&nbsp;<\/em>and the&nbsp;<em>Stratford Summer Music Festival.&nbsp;<\/em>As a chamber musician, she is dedicated to the support of contemporary music in Calgary as a core member of Timepoint Ensemble and has made appearances with The Rubbing Stone Ensemble and Land\u2019s End Chamber Ensemble. Favourite past performances include Steve Reich\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Drumming<\/em>&nbsp;at the TorQ Percussion Seminar,&nbsp;<em>Conduct<\/em>&nbsp;with the University of Calgary\u2019s School of Creative and Performing Arts and concerts with So Percussion Quartet at Princeton University.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nia is an instructor at the Mount Royal Conservatory and is proud to endorse Black Swamp Percussion as a member of their educator network.
