Aurelien Sudan started playing the violin at the age of 3 at the Conservatory of Music of Fribourg, Switzerland. After having studied classical music for 12 years, he left the music world at the age of 15, needing a break. It was only 10 years later, in 2013, that Aurelien picked up the violin again. He progressively fell in love with free improvisation, as well as rock and folk covers. In 2015, he began performing under the stage name ‘The Flying Hornito’ and more recently as part of the duo ‘A2’ with Nelson based Pianist and Soundscape Artist Adrian Wagner. Aurelien Sudan has contributed to multiple Canadian folk music albums and played several public concerts across BC including festivals, weddings, solo performances, duos, trios and with full bands.
