Description
This book is the course materials for the [‘pi.kn] class. It is the first of 2 books
Here, we will explore just that – FingerPicking. This first book of classes strives to break out of the the pattern of strumming and learn the different components of the chord. Initially, we start by breaking the bass note out of the chord and learn some rhythms, bass runs and tricks to make guitar accompaniment a dialog rather than a slave to the voice. We work through some other components and songs until we are able to play melodies, bass lines and chords all at the same time. Finally, there is a section on Travis Picking.
Topics explored include:
- Bass Lines while strumming
- Arpeggiated Accompaniment
- Block Chords with Bass Lines
- Hammer Ons and Pull Offs
- Simple Melodies with Bass Lines
- Altered Chords and Licks
- Travis Picking
The cost of this book is $12 if registered in FingerPickin’ Part 1
