Together with Heather Music classes are designed to instill a lifelong love of music, starting at a young age.  Based on the understanding that children learn best through play, the focus is on being involved and having fun.  The kids don’t even realize how much they’re learning!  Besides early music concepts involving tempo, pitch, and rhythm, other important pre-school concepts such as sharing, turn-taking, and being brave are approached, all in a comfortable group setting where children are encouraged to participate at their own comfort level.  In any given class you can expect dancing or movement, introduction to a new instrument, puppets or other visual props, and more – plus LOTS of original music that parents enjoy as much as the kids.  You may be singing the songs for years to come…

Bouncing Babblers (up to 18 months): Babies absorb so much information in these first months!  It is a great time to introduce your little one to the joys of music and lay a foundation for lifelong learning.  Joining a group encourages observing others’ reactions, and parents will go home equipped with many fun ways to incorporate music into daily routines.

Toddlers to Twirlers (mixed age group up to 5 years): This is a mixed age group for familes with siblings 5 and under, or anyone who wants their child to learn in a mixed age setting – the younger children learn a lot from the examples of the older children and the older children enjoy helping and being the “experts” of the group.  Activities are designed to meet all children at their own level and allow them to participate in a way that works best for them.

Groovy Gigglers (3 to 5 years): High energy class designed to keep these busy bees engaged and grooving!  Lots of silly fun while we learn early musical concepts and enjoy music with friends.
