Anastasiia studied violin and piano at the College of Music, received a master’s degree from The Conservatory. As a classical musician, Anastasiia has successfully worked in many professional orchestras, in particular as a concertmaster and was a soloist of the Kharkiv Philharmonic, actively performed modern classical music, competitions, festivals and more. Flamenco, Irish dance music, Ukrainian folk music also had their own special place in her repertoire.

Adult Classes

This is a 90 minute, 6 week class every second week on Tuesdays at 7:30 starting September 20

These classes will be small: maximum 4 students.

The composition class for adults is formed as a workshop that concentrates on the melodic, harmonic and formal structures of different genres. Every class, there will be a composition assignment due next class. The final concert piece will be one of the assignment pieces chosen and performed by the students.

The students are required to have some knowledge on music theory and, is expected to play an instrument (minimum Grade 4 is advised).

Class 1: Introduction

Class 2: Early Classical Period (Accompaniment and Melody)

Class 3: 12-bar Blues

Class 4: Bossa Nova

Class 5: 21st Century Pop

Class 6: The Final Concert

This course offers students the first steps to playing jazz on the guitar. We will explore several jazz forms including altered blues, simple bossa nova and standards with descending fifth chord progressions.
