Canadian guitarist Murray Visscher has performed for audiences in major cities in Canada and the United States. He is in demand as a performer, adjudicator, and teacher.
He received his Masters Degree at the San Francisco Conservatory, under the guidance of renowned guitarist David Tanenbaum. During his classical studies, Murray also performed regularly with Bay area jazz ensembles.
Murray received a Bachelor degree in music from Western Washington University. Other teachers include: David Feingold, Dusan Bogdonovic and Scott Tenant. Master class performances include: Eliot Fisk, David Russell, Paul O’dette and Hubert Kappell.
Murray is presently on the faculties of the Mount Royal University Conservatory and Ambrose University in Calgary.
